Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993, and the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed as a pioneer in the field of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards both national and internationally. She has provided advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member and International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
